I bought one of these 3 years ago from Target on recommendation from Consumer Reports. Over time, I noticed the length of battery charge and available power decreased. A few months ago, my kids were using it and the motor seized. They put it back on the charging base without turning it off and a few minutes later I smell burning plastic. The battery cover was melting. For the life of me, I cannot find contact info on the Black & Decker website to report the issue.

This is the best hand vaccuum I have ever purchased. Worth every dollar.It is very powerful and picks up every grain of sand and hair. I have spent countless dollars on many other hand vaccs and no others can compare. It is easy to clean and dispose of items that have been picked up. Why go any other way?

Absolutely the best handheld vacumn cleaner I've ever owned. It's extremely powerful, well made, and can be used for a much longer period of time before having to be recharged.

This product worked OK while it lasted. Not quite as much suction as I had hoped for. You do have to be careful to hold the snout straight up before turning it off so any dirt left in the snout is sucked in and doesn't dribble out on the floor when you put it back in the charger. Big complaint is it died after about 2 months. I probably used it no more than a dozen times. I now have to send it back for repair. I could drop it off at a repair facility, but that's about an hour away. We'll see what happens.

What a good cleaning tool this hand vacuum is! I had been looking for a good cordless vacuum but wasn't expecting much. I used to have the old Dustbuster which didn't have much power at all. I'm very happy with this Black & Decker as it has lots of power and it looks so nice sitting in its charger that I leave it on the table in my living room. Am really looking forward to cleaning my car with it as I know it will do a good job. And no cord to bother with. This is one vacuum I would gladly recommend to anyone.
