Product Description This Bissell 14251 Little Green ProHeat Spot Cleaner gives you thorough deep cleaning convenience for tasks large and small. Strong spray and suction clean and help dry in one step. Long power cord and compact design make cleaning hard-to-reach areas easy. Stores ready-to-use.
Amazon.com Review A powerful mini steam-vac, the Little Green turbo compact multipurpose cleaner from Bissell uses hot water and a cleaning agent to eliminate both deep-down dirt and surface spills. Designed for use on carpet, upholstery, automobile seats, and more, the Little Green disperses and sucks up cleansing solution in one swipe across the dirty surface. The machine stores water and soap in separate compartments, blends them for dispersal, and recovers them together into a dirty water tank. An optional built-in heater with indicator light keeps hot water heated during cleaning. The unit features a built-in hose with a solution trigger, a tough-stain tool, and a TurboBrush with its own powered brush roll. The hose wraps around the base, and the power cord stores on quick-release hooks on the body. The tanks are easy to remove, fill, and replace, and the machine can be stored ready to use. Bissell includes an 8-ounce starter bottle of cleaning solution to get you started. --Emily Bedard

Great for Pet Owners August 23, 2010 Anne L. Prosser (Houston, TX) True, I've only used it once and from the reviews the breakdowns seem to happen after several uses. Soap/pet hair/heating unit seem to be the culpret. Fortunately our carpet is a low pile and our dog is a shorthair. I do not plan to use anything but water or a bit of vinegar in the water. Soap in the carpet tends to attract additional dirt. I was very pleased with the cleaning of pet stains on our carpet on my first try. I used microfiber towels to absorbe any extra water. Would it help if I didn't use the heat feature? Hot water from the faucet would work for me if it prevents the appliance from clogging.
Don't take in for repair until you do this! August 17, 2010 Rabbithash Have been reading people taking their Green Machine to the repairman when water won't squirt out. No! Do this first....Mix 1/2 cup "Clear" into 1/2 tank of water. Put a couple of drops in the "intake" area before you snap the water tank back in its place. Let sit. Then take the upholstery tool (or whatever tool you have on the hose), off the hose. Take a twist tie, at least 3 inches long, or a pipe cleaner and run it down the whole where the water comes out. Push it down all the way to where the water trigger is on the hose. Run it back and forth, making sure you hit the trigger. Now, turn on machine. Hold it down, and gently hit the hose, hold down until a trinkle of water comes out. The CLEAR has to work. Give it time. Took me an hour to clear all the deposits out. Then, keep running the pipe cleaner up into the inside where the trigger is. CLEAR is caustic, do it in a safe place. Once you get a fair amount of water dripping out, replace with hot water, and begin again, turning off the machine, running the twist tie or pipe cleaner up to the trigger. Did this a couple of times, and WHAM! The strongest spray appeared. Good as new! Don't spend money for a pump (the repair guy proably knows how to do this). Its not the pump! Its soap, dirt and mineral build up!
Totally worth it! August 13, 2010 T. Brewer (Aurora, CO) So, I bought this because we just got a new puppy and I thought this would be great to clean up her little "messes". As it turns out, I knocked over a plant in my living room and spilled half the dirt from the pot onto the carpet. Along with the vacuum cleaner to pick up the loose dirt, I used this to get out the stuff deep down and to clean the very large spot that I made. This carpet cleaner is FANTASTIC! It also has worked on the puppy "messes".
good little machine August 9, 2010 Amy Vee (Valencia, CA) Other than the spraying tube getting clogged once this thing is awesome. I bought it because we were going to adopt a dog and wanted to be prepared for house training. Since then it's cleaned up accidents, spilled wine and mud. I love the size and convenience. It's plenty powerful for spot cleaning.
leaky but good cleaner July 25, 2010 C. L. Sellers (chattanooga tn USA) I love the way it cleans the upholstery. I have hard wood floors. While dragging it around the floor cleaning my couch, it scratched my floors and leaked somehow everywhere I'd been. I though maybe it was me when I put the tank on. Took it to carpet, without filling the tank, cleaned a rug and the place I had it sitting, soaking wet. I'll keep a towel under it from now on! I do like the heat. People say it's just a few degrees, well, how hot do they want it?? works well for cleaning.
