I purchased this vacuum from Amazon.com and am very pleased with it, I have health problems and this is si much easier for me to use. It is light, as it is advertised, and that works for me. I had a more expensive vacuum that did a excellent job. But it was so heavy even with the self-propelled, I could not use it. This featherlite I can use very well. The bag is not problem to change. I would recommend this vacuum to my friends and have done so.

I bought this same Featherlite Upright about 7 years ago, and it had finally just broke. The part cost $34.99 and since the new vaccuum on here cost around the same, decided to get the new one instead. If this newer version of the Dirt Devil Featherlite lasts as long as my old one, I will be extremely happy.
Just one thing, others are right, that one part where the hose goes into the unit, that is an easily breakable part of the hose. Be very CAREFUL and aware when you are taking this out to use the extensions. Watch, twist it and then carefully pull it out. Other than that I have found this design extremely durable in the past :)

I bought this to replace a vaccum I had for 26 years. I think my old vac lasted that long because since 1984 I have lived in small houses, apartments & condos that never needed much vaccuuming. This new vaccuum required assembly which took me about half an hour. The assembly instrutions were a little vague as one part I had screwed in only to see I screwed it in the wrong way. The only other complaint is that it seems slightly harder to push than my old vac. I have read other reviewers complain that it is noisy, but I don't think it is too noisy. All vaccuum cleaners are noisy anyway. My old vac when it broke down, now that was noisy! I like the fact it has a hose attached to it though I have not used it yet. All in all I am satisfied with it so far. It's good for the low price.

This is the loudest vacuum I've ever used. My two children are terrified and cry every time I turn it on. It sounds as if you are mowing your lawn in you living room. It may be cheap, but cheap comes with a price. Your hearing!
