We are amazed as to what this little vacuum can do, like it so well that another is being ordered just for the RV. It is indeed very powerful, easily picking up dust, dirt, pet hair, etc. One reviewer indicated of it being very loud, however, I DO NOT find this true ...no more than what one would expect for its top performance.

Before purchasing this Eureka 71B Hand-Held Vacuum, some of the reviews I had read commented on the vacuum being heavy, which I did not feel that would be a problem. However, at 7 lbs., it is WAY too heavy, and cumbersome, for using on the stairs as I intended! I did not even try the vacuum, knowing I was going to promptly return it.

Trust me, those cordless ones do not have enough power to vac home staircase. Suction is great and the hose with hand tool has come in handy. Dust cup is easy to empty and reattach. The rise up visor really makes cleaning fully carpeted stairs much easier. I researched before purchasing and this vac is everthing it claims to be. Amazon had the best price on it. Looking for a hand vac, get this one, you won't be disappointed.
Awesome hand vaccuumJuly 26, 2010 Axsuul Alright this little baby is awesome. It cleans up all the nooks and crannies and can also handle carpet surfaces. You'll be surprised how much dirt, dust and debris this thing picks up! The cord is also really long so you can basically go on an adventure with this thing without having to change outlets. I highly recommend if you're looking for a corded hand vac.

I had a cordless Dirt Devil before, which was a joke, because it had zilch power fully charged. I've even been without an upright vac, until I find a new one- this has been great to tide me over, and I'll continue to use it for the attachment hose. I wish the cord were a little longer, but I guess if it were, it wouldn't store as well.
