Misleading advertisementJuly 24, 2010 Joe D Morgan(Aberdeen, Ms, US) The ad led me to think this was a cordless vacuum. It was not! I am very disappointed.
Next to worthlessJuly 18, 2010 Stuart It is a poor design all around. Useful for maybe a dorm room but nothing else. It can pick up small amounts of loose dirt, but nothing larger than dust. The filter clogs quickly and you loose what little suction you started with. Takes about 20 trips to empty and clean for a small one bedroom apartment.
Not heft but perfectly fineJuly 15, 2010 EBW I have the usual at home "keep the floors" clean devices. A little sweeper, a canister vacuum and a really strong "dust buster" type portable.
Rather than drag the big vacuum out, I wanted an upright that could quickly tidy floors and vacuum simple flat carpets. This works very well indeed and the telescopic handle adjusts to the average person's height. It has very good efficient suction so that I need not keep going over an area to get a tiny thread or something equally inconsequential. It does the job and your subsequent clean up--hooray, no more paper bags--is a cinch. For those who are heavy handed with their tools, you may have to be more careful since the construction is a bit light weight. One accidental misguided thwack against a heavy door stopper and perhaps the plastic might crack. Just guessing. But for quickie jobs, good pick up, fast/clean disposing of the dust and floor litter, along with lightweight/slim storage, this is a a great "electric broom" with matching price point. The shipping by Amazon is amazingly fast. It seemed as if I clicked "Buy" and then the item showed up the next day.
Excellent ProductJuly 11, 2010 Coticon(Rome, NY USA) This is an excellent vacuum for small, quick jobs when you don't want to lug out the big machine ... the telescoping handle is truly excellent as it increases the versatility of the product. It is light, stores easily and comes with plenty of electrical cord to allow you to reach distant outlets. It can be used without the attachments for quick pick-up tasks but when needed the wide head attachment for floor cleaning as well as the narrow attachment for hard to get at places come with the vacuum. The bagless receptical is easy to empty but be aware that it requires the handle to be fully extended in order to remove it. The only negative aspect is that it would have received 5 stars if it came with a brush attachment for small flat areas such as window sills or chair cushions because the other attachments are not suited for this kind of a surface and do not clean them well.
Great vacuum for the priceJuly 6, 2010 Michael A. Smith(Kennesaw, GA USA) Just got this, and the reviews are right, this is a really powerful lightweight vacuum. I have all hard surface floors in my house (real wood and laminate wood), and two cats who shed a ton. This vacuum grabs all the hair without blowing it all about. It also worked surprisingly well on my area rug. It gets lots of cat hair too, and it was a breeze getting it all off.
I'd say the only bad things about this vacuum are that it's hard to get the bottom piece off to switch it to a dust buster type vac, it could be easier to empty, and the cord is kinda short, but all in all I think the benefits outweigh the minor design flaws. This beats sweeping and panning anyday!
