Works well and a great priceSeptember 7, 2010 Saintseattle(Seattle, WA USA) It's a vast improvement over my last carpet cleaning machine. The Bissell truly digs down and pulls up the dirt. I vacuum regularly with a very good Dyson, but apparently there's still dirt left behind. It does heat the water, but I think "steam" cleaning isn't the appropriate name for it. It's also somewhat heavy. Pushing and pulling it across a large room can wear me out. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and I'd happily buy it again.
*NOT* worth the money. Mine has malfunctioned after using about 4 times.September 6, 2010 Peter J. Mcmullen I've used this machine maybe four times since I purchased it. Even though having flushed it after each use, it has quit spraying out of the bottom and barely sprays out of the upholstery nozzle. Best guess is that the pump or a valve is failing or the heater unit is clogged. Dis-assembly for self service is virtually impossible unless you want to spend a couple of days and take lots of pictures, let alone getting replacement parts. This cleaner is *NOT* worth the money in my experience.

Costarella(Parker, CO USA) We used this machine 4 times total and it definately cleaned the carpets BUT within a year one of the tubes clogged (the one tube I can't get to after taking it apart). If I take it to a Bissell place to fix - it would cost me another $200. No thanks. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
bissell proheat 2xAugust 17, 2010 marmee I have used the cleaner only 3 times on carpet so far. I enjoy the ease of the machine. Easy to fill/empty/use. Cleaner does the job; enjoy the heat feature. Carpets not left so wet as with other cleaners.
Where Amazon is concerned, the price of the machine was excellent, delivery timely.
